Je t’aime, MAGNIFICENT MONTREAL!

Blog/Vlog

Leaving the Rideau Canal in Canada wasn’t easy on us. First of all, it signified having to leave so many incredible experiences, people and scenery behind. It also meant that we were getting closer to the point at which would have to begin to close our Loop by pointing south down the Richelieu river in Sorel, Quebec. We were having so much fun! Would there be more?

Of course there was! The day my goddaughter Molly, her father and her fiancĂ© hopped on board to travel through the flight of seven Ottawa locks delivering us out onto the Ottawa River was gray in more ways than one. We had to say our farewells there, but one consolation was knowing that we were headed to Montreal where we would also meet up with a dear friend Eric and his wife Virginie who we’d known from when we lived in Costa Rica years ago.

Travel with us as we get to know this magnificent city. Meet our new and wonderful friends Tim and Dolly of the Island Dreamer and Dave and Val on Old Spice whom we met along the Rideau and grew to adore even more in Montreal and later traversing and partying in fantastic Lake Champlain (my next vlog highlight).

As always my vlogs are quite a bit behind due to challenging internet service. We’ve actually reached Long Island, New York and will lamentably soon be heading home. I promise not to let you miss a bit of the journey, however late in coming.

Jeff and I thank you for hanging in there with us!
